Staying Strong

I can't seem to find myself today.
It's a hard task when you get trampled on everyday.
I keep trying to stay up but get pushed away.
I'm lost in this world... much to my dismay.

I'm seen as a loser,
just a wasted amount of space.
A speck of chalk on a blackboard,
that refuses to be erased.

Everyone wants me gone,
and I don't know one person that gets me.
No sign of love and care,
not even by my family, the ones who are supposed to be there.

But know this,
I won't leave just so.
I'm not going to depart from this world that way.
I want to watch my dreams and future grow.

Even though I'm tired of all these people,
giving me stares and calling me weird.
I won't let that get to me.
In my mind they are not feared.

I will stick it out and fight this force,
until my heart can't take it anymore.
I won't let these fools defeat me,
as they have done so many times before.

I'm going to stay strong,
and rid myself of all this frustration.
I'm going to change minds and beat the system,
and come out on top of this situation.
