Imagination

by Shædow Poet   Oct 27, 2004

Imagination

Step inside the darkest place
In which your envisions reside
Where you save thoughts of such disgrace
That could rob you of minute pride.

Live a life that’s not your own
That lets you stay in deep slumber
Filled with purple skies, where no one dies
And a treasure chest of rare plunder.

Eat a cake filled with sweetness
A drink that’s God’s gift from heaven
Sing a tune of soothing melodies
That takes you to cloud number seven.

Win a fight against brutal crimson tiger
And battle a heard of giant ants
Watch the sun set in the early morn
Sow a field with exotic plants.

Smile with glee for all eternity
Hush away pain and deceit
Type everything you hate on the computer
Read it over, beam, press delete.

But this world is non-existant
We fill the skies with pollution
We plug the drain with our filthy language
And shudder off half the nation.

Why can’t the world be a pleasant dream?
And why can’t we live in fantasy?
Why can’t all be simple, why can’t we smile?
Why can’t we always live in imaginary?

    Hey there,

i must say you impress me with you comments on my poems, i actually made some corrections...so Kudos to you!

Right then, i liked this one, good strong philisophical issue, not to blatant, not to abstract.

The only thing that seemed odd was the syllable count on certain lines, like the first line of the 3rd stanza....maybe you could chop a few words..aside from that, sweet.

You are now on my favs...yeah...i know...what an honour!
