Two Tears

A single tear streaks down my face.
No one sees it, only me.
I can't subdue this burning in my heart.
I want to know You.
I want to love You.
I want to hear the sound of Your voice.
Is Your voice deep, calm, and soothing?
Will it make me feel safe and secure
as you answer my prayers and questions?
I need to know. I need to hear. I need to feel.
A second tear steaks down my face.
No one sees it, only me.
What can I do to stop the burning to know Him?
