Forgiveness

by Lipton   Oct 28, 2004

I used to live my life so blind,
Until your love, I began to find.
I looked and said, "How can this be?
God's good love, is just for me."

My sin began to overwhelm me,
Through broken sobs, "How could God love me?"
My life is just so torn and tattered,
How could God use something so battered?

My sin became as dark as night,
I sat alone, filled with fright,
I felt the darkness begin to creep,
I fell at thy feet, and began to weep.

Your light shown through, and broke my heart,
You fixed in me, your loving art,
Now it's clear, I can finally see,
That you'll love me for eternity.

Words cannot fully describe,
The fire that God has filled inside
This broken, unclean, yet forgiven soul;
Your love has come and made me whole.

I think it's very creative to write out yor testimony in poem form and it's very well written. this one must have flowed out of your pen. It sounds so natural.
