Moon Shadows

by Cantchangeme   Nov 3, 2004

Moon shadows they dance
Upon a young child's face
Jack is an orphan baby
His dad left in disgrace
Mammy left him in fear
He lies with his thoughts
Lies inside an orphanage
Until his life is bought

Moon shadows they dance
Upon a teenage girls leg
The cuts start to fade
lying in her rehab bed
Amy looks out her window
And stares up at the moon
wonder if heavens up there
Maybe she'll be there soon

Moon shadows they dance
Into a teenage boys brain
A psychiatric hospital
And every things the same
His laughs are never used
The same use for his smile
They say Benny has problems
Just another mental trial

Moon shadows they dance
They dance for Jack
Moon shadows they dance
Then dance for Amy too
Moon Shadows they dance
They dance for Benny
Moon shadows they dance
They'll dance for you
