I Can Remember When

by Bobby Brownlie   Nov 18, 2004

I remember the last time we met when we broke up,
And I can remember when I told you I have had enough.
I remember when we were fighting in my car about how you did me wrong,
And at the same time fighting on came our song.

I can remember when we heard it and we stopped as I started to cry,
And we started to hug each other through the whole song forgetting
That we had to say goodbye.

Through the entire song I can remember the sound of your crying
And I can remember my shoulder covered in tears,
And I can remember me saying why does it have to be this way after all the years.

And I can remember when you said I am sorry for hurting you so much,
And I can remember when I put my hand on your cheek,
And your skin was so soft to the touch.

I can remember when I said I am sorry it has to be like this,
And I can remember me telling you that you hurt me
And our memories will always be with me,
Something I will always miss

I can remember when our song was ending,
As I slowly leaned over to and gave you my final goodbye kiss,
And I will always remember when you said to me as I
Was leaving I am sorry and your love you gave to me
Will be in my heart which I will forever miss.
