Lost & Confused

Even though we broke up after all the fights we had,
and the arguments about trust,

I still find myself crying inside after all this time, of how you got
back with your ex and left me in the dust.
But I also cry the tears of missing you so much,
and also the feeling of your soft sweet touch.

I don’t know if it is normal for my feelings for you to still
be strong after all these years,
especially after all the times you hurt me
and left me drowning in my own tears.

Everyday I try to work up the courage to call you just to say hi,
but deep down I want to tell you that I miss you so much,
and I want you back so I don’t bother to try.
I am so confused and I don’t know what to do,
even though we’re not together I can only picture myself with you.

And after all the fights we had I wanted to get engaged and I did not care
how much the ring would cost,
and the day I was going to buy it you left me for someone else,
I just need someone to help me get through this
because I am tired of being lost.
