I'm Sorry, My Love

I'm sorry, my love,
for I left you today.
I know it was wrong,
but I saw no other way.

The time was right,
and the blade was sharp.
Thought it hurt my wrist,
it hurt your heart.

I know I shouldn't have,
but I felt as if,
I had nowhere left to turn,
except blade to wrist.

As you read this now,
I'm gone forever.
Please forgive me,
and love me now and forever.
