Mother, thank you

by spunk   Nov 24, 2004

She rescued me from the arms of the beholder
she is my Armor, my companion
she lifted me up and gave me a new home
a home where i can live a loving life
she saved me when i fell
she cured me from my disease
if only there were a gift i could give in return
God, help me please

when the lights were dark and weary
she held the candle and guided the way
my life could never be better, nor never the same
with every gift which she has given me
mine would never be the same
i wish i could understand the feelings that she has
the feelings which i don't understand,
the loving that she has
her heart is solid gold, and a soul of a saint
the gift that i will give to her will always sound the same,
the same words yet a different meaning,
thank you mother for the loving feeling
thank you for the love that you give, oh i Cherish so deeply
thank you mother, for the greatest gift of all is the gift to be your daughter
