Time Doesn't Cure All Wounds

Time will tell the vicious cycle
And if freedom is in store
But I shall not wait for time
I will not wander anymore

Sporadic, spontaneous fathoms
Are cruel and undeniably true
And those that think they know
Quite subtly, have no clue

These legs are scarred and worn
From faithless attempts to kill
And even if death faltered
I was satisfied with just the thrill

To see the blade insert itself
Into a fleshy piece of vein
To let each droplet bask itself
And show the inner, crimson pain

But I will not wait for time
To allure itself with passion
For I have waited much too long
I've taken only what I've been rationed

And that blade ceases to heal
The scars from deep within
Then why not take it's metal poison
And forever damage useless skin?

Time does not heal all wounds
It hardly even cures a sickness
And you may think such otherwise
But me, I am time's witness

It wavered on the trial stands
As the seconds accused it's fails
And as it stammered out the door
An hourly chime loudly wailed

The clock of life to which we own
Is one we created to guide
But I dare you for one moment
To put some "time" aside

Listen to these attacking words
And you will find, time is not real
And you can never count on it
For wounds, time does not heal.
