I long to write something decent!

A blank screen - in my eyes,
God only knows,
Of the next things I’ll write.

I long to write - a prefect verse,
Well here it goes,
I haven’t rehearsed.

Words fall, upon the keys,
A rhythmic flow,
To your eyes from me.

I long to write something decent!
Cos nothing good has been recent.

And I can’t think,
I can’t stop,
The keys click,
When my fingers rest on top.

And I can’t try,
But I can’t quit
I long to write,
Just something decent.

Not inspired, by anything,
An empty mind,
Full of nothing.

A black hole, a vortex,
Of only time,
As I type more text.

And these words, of my own,
I can’t find,
And still I type on.
