Silly girl

by Poetically Speaking   Dec 4, 2004

Silly girl
silly girl
what did you do to impress the world
how is your smile on this sun drenched day
how many kisses will make the pain fade away

I see it on your face
the expression of loneliness
I see something in your eye
the fear of betrayal
I hear it in your echoed voice
the hidden messages behind the vale

speak up little one
sing your heart
let the words flow out
and grace my soul

silly girl
silly girl
what did you do to impress me
was it the way you dressed
or the way you caressed me
was it the flutter in your voice
the wobble in your stance
was it the movement of your lips
or the shaking of your hands

you're a silly girl
I know this about you
I see the things that make you true
squeeze me tight
lean on me
call me up whenever
you can depend on me
I don't lie
I only try
you're one in a million
let me be your guy
