What people call posers....

There are people who
Say you’re a poser.
Those are the people
Who are scared to get closer.

They decide that
You aren’t real,
So they choose to make it
A very big deal.

They tell you that
You’re just a big fake,
They make fun of you,
To make your heart ache.

Just because you like
What they simply don’t,
Doesn’t make you conform,
Because you can’t and you won’t.

You can be what you want,
Don’t think about the label,
Do what you want,
And lay it out on the table.

    Very true poem. People are called posers all the time at my school. Loved the meaning in your poem. You wrote it wonderfully.
