I knew a special lady whose name was Greek for peace
It amazes me that, God’s truth will never cease
Because she knows very well a truth that was known in Greece
For she knows very well, that the truth is the key to peace

Is it any wonder that Our Lord lifted the veil?
From her smiling eyes so that one day she could hail
The peace in her heart that really does prevail
And sing it to the world like a nightingale

Truth leads to peace, and this peace leads to love
This is a truth that fits her like a glove
Through her beautiful wise eyes God smiles from above
To show the world His peace, like the symbol of the Dove

Love leads to joy, and she knows the joy of giving
And I know, it’s people like her that makes life worth living
