Miscellaneous

by Mild insomnia   Dec 8, 2004

In a broken down mall,
Beside the town hall,
Where the words of wisdom are on the wall,
I sit and know the truth.

While dad sits at home,
And mom’s on the phone,
And my kid sister won’t leave them alone,
She cries but it’s no use.

Can’t block out the noise,
Of people screaming at the top of their voice,
Echo’s rattle round my head.
And I can’t close my eyes,
I know they’re still there, but ignorance is nice,
I’m not getting anywhere.

And looking around,
I see everyone frown,
Shooting past my face, and looking down,
Upon my revolts and me.

They follow the heard,
In this tragic world,
Where no one dares to argue a word,
And it’s really time that they see.

Society’s beyond messed up,
Tony knows it, but does he give a fu ck?
Well, no one can really say.
I’m sure that he’s trying,
While people around the world are dying,
And nothing’s gonna change today.
