The reason

by Mild insomnia   Dec 8, 2004

I figured it out,
Made sense of everything,
Now I have no doubts,
Don’t know what I was thinking,
Thinking about,
About anything.

Guess I was confused,
I was scared to be alone,
And scared to be used,
I was holding on so long,
And then I found you,
My fears were gone.

You are the reason,
You’re my incentive to make it through each day,
And smile along the way.
You gave me freedom,
You’re my liberation to say what I want to say,
And stay if I wanna stay.

And when it’s cold and dark outside,
My head’s spinning with the thought of you,
Deep in the night.

Been to hell and back,
Making deals with devil,
For the things I thought I lacked,
Because he let me revel,
And then put me back on track,
But you keep my head level.

You are the reason,
You’re my justification to get outta my bed,
And thank god, I’m not dead.
You gave me freedom,
You’re my redemption, keeping me in my head
And you’re the one who said.

You are the reason,
My reason.
