Dying Hope with a Fatal Kiss

by Unseen Exposure   Dec 11, 2004

Walking over shards of a broken life slain there on the ground
Tightly tangled embers, forgotten and freely bound

Trudging through an open field as darkness takes its hold
Praying to a death in haste, a wondering lie was told

A breaking, silent image clings to a needy saddened face
Dying for an angel's touch, the warmth of her embrace

Tears of crimson blood trickle down her soggy nose
A stunted child crawls through a garden that never really grows

Innocence is ripped away from the bareness of his hands
Imagination takes him to the brightest of all lands

Mountains of aspirations scream out in begging pleads
"This is what a child sees, this is what he needs"

Amateurs sneak through the shadows of the haunted night
Never understanding, never caring about their plight

Wandering through a shattered home of dead and broken dreams
Where all aspects of hope were shredded at the seams

Failing to comprehend the feelings of such pain
Continuous routines mourn through hidden, unseen chains

Those who pass us by share a secret fascination
Always suspecting of another's screaming damnation

We can see it in each others eyes, life has done us in
Following down a path where the future seems too grim

Speaking metaphoric words which only few can relate
The thoughts, the feelings, the ideas we contemplate

And those who see the meaning behind my every letter
Know exactly what I'm speaking of, they've followed every measure

Feeling stranded in a crowded room, stripped of all your pride
That! My friends, is when you know - Hope has finally died

"Hope Dies Last"- Or so they say, now "Ignorance is Bliss"
And so I seal my dying breath with one last fatal kiss

[ I'm not sure if anyone will understand, I just needed to get this out. I wish it would have been better, but it wasn't. ]

AMAZING. I love the passion and ill intensions you create through the piece. The symbols, amazing. intriguing and thoroughly mentioned, tragic and beautiful, absolutly lovely. I really admired the lines,
"Wandering through a shattered home of dead and broken dreams
Where all aspects of hope were shredded at the seams"
I just love the symbolism, I completly admire that meaning and though behind the words. The whole piece is powerful and connecting, sadly dark and absoulutly incredible. Truly a lovely piece worthy of nothing but praise. Excellent work

Hmmm, sounds like you don't really want to say WHAT it is, so I don't totally get it, but whatever it is, it's good. nice work, as always.
