Forgot How To Sing

by Lauraballz   Dec 13, 2004

I used to sing,
And dance the dance,
I'd laugh my fears away.
Nothing could stop me,
Take the chance,
Of risking every day.

Problems I faced,
I'd stare straight through,
Like walls, they would tumble before me.
These were the days,
When I still had you,
As an option, when you were still free.

I prayed so hard,
When it first started out,
That it would stay unserious forever.
But it became so clear,
You were more than about,
Just fun, after months spent together.

On the first day I cried,
On the second, again,
But crying is a tiring chore.
Days turned to weeks,
Months into pain,
Into this, my heartfelt pour.

I threw my heart,
My soulful glace,
To you, my everything,
Because of this,
I no longer dance,
For you, I forgot how to sing.

xXx
