Last gasp

by «-Pale-Petals-»   Dec 13, 2004

She was so skinny,
Like a skeleton just bones,
Her hair was thin,
Her eyes plain as stones,

She never ate,
Always threw her lunch away,
Her body was deteriorating,
Slowly starting to decay,

Her reflection she hated,
Self confidence she did lack,
Once she started this,
She couldn't go back,

She was so sad,
And so limp and frail,
Her eyes filled with tears,
Her face so pale,

Her friends and family noticed,
But didn't want to accuse,
Not knowing what to tell her,
They were so confused,

Whenever she was asked,
She said it was untrue,
She only lost her appitite sometimes,
Because of the stress she was going through,

As soon as they began to believe her,
It was to late,
She took her last gasp of air,
As the clocked turned to eight,

There she was,
Lying in her bed,
Lifeless and breathless,
So cold, so dead,
