Sharpened Edge

by Unseen Exposure   Dec 15, 2004

I take a sharpened edge
And pierce skin with it's kiss
Pretending to have no passion
No love, no pain, no bliss

I take a sharpened edge
And carve a memory for all to see
A time, a place, a moment
Where pain had the best of me

I take a sharpened edge
And create a picutre of desolation
Screaming angry threats
In my lungs, with resonation

I take a sharpened edge
And the aftermath lights thine eyes
A trickle of pain releases
In crimson putrid cries

I take a sharpened edge
And threaten watering veins
To spill all that is left of me
To flow in deadly rains

I take a sharpened edge
And stab until I feel
The midst of pain inside me
To hide what cannot conceal

I take a sharpened edge
And puncture skin to the bone
To remind myself of this time
When I am nothing but alone.
