Heartbreak

by Priyanka   Dec 17, 2004

I walk along the river,
my soul feeling bare:
I lift my hands to caress the wind,
and my eyes in the darkness stare
From somewhere i hear a voice,
My heart leaps and uncertainty grips me like a vice,

I stand there, my breathing labored,
thinking of all the feelings for you
I harbored
A gush of cold air gives me a start;
and tears held back fall freely tearing me apart,

My body racks with unchecked sobs;
as i feel this pain in my wounded soul would never stop.

I think of you and our days spent apart,

Oh why oh why did you break my heart?

dedicated to all the people who have had a heartbreak, i know how much it hurts!

    Your rythem flares the emotion here and becomes a worthy tribute to beauty, even when it's about regret.
    A good read.
