Cold Blood

by Unseen Exposure   Dec 24, 2004

Cut me with your emptiness and leave me there to bleed
Breake me with your selfishness and greed
Execute my feelings with the coldness of your touch
Tell me that you love me, LIAR, it's too much

Use me and abuse me, just the way you do
Feed me to the demons like they told you to
Ignore my screaming insecurities ringing in your ear
The ones you'll pretend you never had the chance to hear

Throw me in the fire and watch me turn to ashes
Watch carefully the flame, as it thrashes
Blind me by the darkness and the unforgiving light
Break my bones and leave me broken through the night

Kill me with your viscious ways and free me soul
Bury me six feet beneath ... in that unstable, darkened hole
Wait as I decompose and mix in with the mud
Let me haunt you as a memory-
You killed me in cold blood

Let the morphine of betrayal flood your veins
As you stare at my shredded, bloodied remains
A time when you were ruthless and me, your victim
Died in cold blood, and now an angel, I'm with them...

I love your poem, your writing is beautiful. I know that spilling all your feelings into paper, in this case the computer helps a lot. This shows that from sadness something beautiful always grows. Keep on the good work...

Well, I like your use of vivid language, and the entire poem overall, but I think the rhythm sometimes falters a bit, and the rhyme scheme is a bit predictable..

I also feel that this poem is the result of cramped emotions that you've spilled onto paper... aka teenage angst. Not always a bad thing, of course.. and honestly, I do like it..

    but check this site out...

also, I'd proofread it a bit.. you have some typos..

but nice job anyway, and I hope the site helps :)
