Game

by ShadowedPhoenix   Dec 28, 2004

I hope you never played me
And that your feeling the same
But in case you forgotten
I'll remind my life is not a game!

If you aren't aware
Of the effect you have on lives
Maybe not many
But you had a tremendous amount on mine.

You cannot say things that would melt a girls heart
If you know there could never be from the start
If you know what feeling
Then you must understand.

I want you to be honest
Even if you must break my heart
Did you love me
or play me from the start?

I can handle what you gotta say
As long as you tell the truth
But before you answer my question
I don't want to forget my life is not a game!

very well done. i liked the poem. i am finding myself compelled to read more rather then write more poems. you seem to write very well poems. Though i may not comment on them all, i do read a lot of them.

I read a lot of the people who are on my favorites list sometimes; i go back and look at their beginning to understand how far they have truely come.

Your a wonderful poet with a gift of words.

    Thank you for the read,

I'm experiencing a very similar situation and you put it into perspective so smoothly.
