Futures

by Lance Hardy   Dec 29, 2004

So slowly you come
Yet I’m still moving
Living my own life
To you, I’m not losing

I’ve been waiting forever
Now you’re almost here
I’ll keep my head high
As you draw so near

You may strike and bite
But you won’t get me down
I’m not afraid of you
You’re only a little noun

So bring all you got
I won’t be your caricature
I control my own life
You’re just my future
=====================
I felt like writing about something different than what I normally do so it might not be that good.
What I meant by this poem was that the future is going to come no matter what so live life the way you want and don't worry so much about whats to come.

Hey I liked it. It was interesting how you dialectically confronted your future, as if it were alive.
