As cold as ice

As Cold As Ice

Body’s shaking, head is spinning
At this game of life I don’t think I’m winning.

Falling freely, my world is dead
I can’t even remember a word you said.

Drifting slowly out of reach
Ringing ears and murmured speech,

Calling your name, fearing death,
Your image in my mind till I draw my last breath.

I loved you, now paying the price
Here I fall, as cold as ice.
