Friends Forever

by Chantelle   Jan 2, 2005

I don't know why this is happening
You said we would never fall apart
But the things you said would never happen
Are beginning to start..

We talked about high-school
And how friends start to drift
But we were in denial
We would never be victims of this

Freshman year came
And our friendship stayed strong
Nothing bad happened
So we thought nothing could ever go wrong

So now its sophomore year
And its beginning to start
I don't think you notice
Our 9 years of friendship falling apart

I stare you in the eyes
But you look right through me
And I wonder if you even notice
The things that I see

I'm always there to help you
And I can always tell when you're down
But I could be screaming my loudest for help
And I don't think you'd hear a sound

Our friendship is slipping through my fingers like sand
And I'm trying to pick up every little grain
But your walking all over it
And you don't even notice your causing me pain.....
