situation has me torn to bits
I don't know what to do
I've though once, twice and even thrice
I'm still without a clue

There's a friend of mine, Kris
That I love dearly
just not in "that way"
I used to "like him"
My feelings faded
Now his are here to stay

The timing couldn't be more wrong
Cause adding to the tension
There's this other boy, his name is Dre
The boyfriend I should mention

I'm taken
and yes Kris is aware
But my relationship status
He doesn't care

He "has strong feelings for me"
That he's held back for too long
He thinks my mans not good enough
With him's where I belong

How do I get the point across
I know it can not work
While salvaging a friendship
Not appearing like a jerk

What do you say when someone loves you
but it's not the right time
Wanting to be honest
Knowing hearts are on the line

I don't know what to do
don't know how to express
Guilty that I dont love back
Being friend's is what is best
