Framed Smile

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Jan 3, 2005

The picture frames my parents,
Smiling; not a worry on their mind
Everything's perfect,
Their life, their children, their love.

They lived life to the fullest,
They took care of their children,
They taught me how to live,
They taught me how to love.

This picture was taken
The same year they were killed
A guy who didn't know how to live
Took away their smile and their life.

They were coming back
From a party with friends,
Smiling, laughing,
Not a worry on their mind.

He was coming back
From a party with friends,
Confused, barely conscious,
Not a worry on his mind.

They were killed on impact
Their smile vanished forever,
Their children left alone
Without having said goodbye.

This is all I have left:
Memories and a framed smile.
