The Sands of Time: Pt. I

One day i took a walk,
and left my body behind,
i wandered all over the place,
roaming the Sands of Time.
i saw all of my past,
the good and the bad,
i was filled with joy,
and also made quite sad.
i saw the beginnings of love,
and also saw the end,
saw new relationships arise,
and ones of old rend.
then i saw my present,
in all of its own splendor,
also saw all of its horrors,
when to Death i almost did surrender.
saw my first night at youth,
and all of my new friends,
a place i feel i belong,
where its easy to make amends.
when i made it to my future,
i was lost in an expanse of black,
i couldn't see what was to come,
so i started heading back.
i wasn't ready for life again,
so i had no thoughts of slowing,
as fas as i could tell,
forever on the Sands of Time kept going.
as i wandered on,
through that wonderful land,
a girl started walking with me,
and took hold of my hand.
she said, Ive been here,
so many times before,
but Ive never seen another human,
only creatures of forgotten lore.
Ive only just arrived,
i replied as we walked,
so she showed me many things,
and all the while we talked.
we came upon a monolith,
and upon it was this,
only soul mates can meet here,
so you are destined for bliss.
we continued our journey,
as happy as we could be,
but we finally had to leave,
and go back to life you see.
when i opened up my eyes,
i saw my own bedroom,
but at a sudden thought,
i feel into a deep gloom.
i had found my soul mate,
and been with her for so long,
but i forgot to ask who she was,
and despair was now my song.
how would i ever find her,
so our lives would be completely right,
with the billions of people in the world,
my chancer were very slight.
if only i could find her,
in the Sands of Time again,
we would find each other in real life,
so our joyous life together could begin.
i closed my eyes tight,
and threw myself back,
the Sands of Time were my only hope,
or my life would forever lack.
my body went there with me,
and I'm still searching for the sublime,
forever you will find me,
roaming the Sands of Time.
