Someone Save Me

Where is your compassion and the love you claim to hold?
Where is your bravery held in the hands you say are bold?
Where has this dark blood gone, clotted in your heart?
This is the end you know, the end of one great start

Stones may make me whimper, while words may hurt like hell
But there's things you'll never hear from me, things that I should tell
So tattered on a crimson rope I hang from these dead trees
A captured soul in misery, that no one ever sees

Perhaps a figure with a heart might see me hanging bare
But I could never ask for a wandering heart to claim they care
Life has given me a bitter taste of society and how it goes
The coldness of a deep winter shivers in my crisp bones

Sorry you're heart is breaking, but mine's out here in the dark
Screaming for some recognition before awoken by the lark
Please don't leave me stranded with this rope around my throat
Sooner or later it will kill me, steal my oxygen, there won't be hope

God would someone save me, pull me out of this dark hole
Someone who won't say I'm just an unworthy broken soul
I'm just an unseen image, exposed for what I lack
With scars upon my wrists and thighs, whip marks on my back

How could they let this happen to me when I do the best I can?
I never wanted to be trapped like this, cornered every time I ran
Why is this deep engulfing, broken, piece of some great fate
Teasing all my memories, the life I've learned to hate?
I'm completely, and utterly shattered, I don't know what's to come
All I know is this dead being is too close to coming undone

So someone please just save me, it's about time that I find peace
A simple monotone life with a form of safe release
Lets tear these thorns out of my core and bury them in the past
Someone, anyone, Please... Hurry, someone.. fast.
