Irrisistable deception

by Mild insomnia   Jan 18, 2005

Squinting my eyes to see,
All that’s in front of me,
I’m falling hopelessly,
In to eternity.

I can’t decide what’s worse,
Both feelings are diverse,
I wanna put you first,
But things seem to reverse.

If cheating, means winning,
And the prize is you…
Then a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

And it hurts like hell,
Sinking beneath your spell,
And knowing it all too well,
But it’s too late now I fell.

You’ve got a hold on me,
And I’ll love you endlessly,
I can’t stop; I’m on my knees,
Begging you - love me please.

Don’t wanna step off the pier,
Until the boat is near,
The loss of both I fear,
So I must persevere.

Undoing all I’ve said,
To leave with no regret,
But feeling guilt instead,
Can’t get it out of my head.

I can’t go back,
Not now I’ve said all that,
And I’m losing track,
Of where I was at.

Constantly heading left,
And talking my way out of things,
Feeling so damned bereft,
My heart both bleeds and sings.

You’ve got a hold on me,
And I’ll love you endlessly,
I can’t stop; I’m on my knees,
Begging you - love me please.

That was an awesome poem, it flowed just like a song. In fact, I think that would make great song lyrics. Anyway awesome work, keep it up.
