Shady Serenade (Twang Twang)

Twang Twang:
I thought you'd said you'd forgotten how,
twang twang:
but I guess you remember now.
Twang Twang:
My song, unto me, you serenade
under the willow's vast, overbearing shade.

Twang Twang:
its the rhythm at that guitar show.
Twang Twang:
living isn't living if we never grow.
Twang Twang
You played my heart like a real pro,

and I guess in the end what I'm trying to see
is if your life is worth living if you're stuck with me.

Twang Twang:
ring the strings in their childish glee;
twang twang:
yells the guitar sitting on my knee.
Twang Twang:
cracks the silence within my eyes;
fills your tears as we gently cry.

Twang Twang:
it's the rhythm at that guitar show.
Twang Twang:
living isn't living if we never grow.
Twang Twang:
You played my heart like a real pro,

and what I know now I should have already known:
you can be lonely when you're not alone;
your life isn't worth it if its not your own.

    Not my favorite.
    don't take my comment too personally, because all together i am hardly fond of love poems, but this one seemed cliche and very much overused. there were a few lovely lines such as,
    "My song, unto me, you serenade
    under the willow's vast, overbearing shade."
    and i admired your techinique of the repetition of "twang twang" I could see what you were attemping to do
    However, your usual style and use of powerful text wasn't there. If I just saw this on a random page I never would have thought you wrote it, (you have more talent than this)
    so..not my favorite. But keep at it, I look forward to your next piece.

    LoL, i liked how IA picked the only line from you're poem that was played out and made it her favorite. And you're poem... i think they would make awesome lyrics yeah? And in place of "Twang Twang" you can strum something on the guitar!! I like it :-)
