Smiles

It’s Christmas day,
And your not here,
To celebrate the joy,
And forget about your fears,

Not a phone call to come,
Or a present to see,
For on this day,
All I want is thee,

By my side to hug,
By my side to kiss,
This will surely be,
A Christmas we have missed,

But it doesn’t bother me,
Where you are,
As long as you’re safe,
It doesn’t matter how far,

I will always love you,
Through all the miles,
It brings a tear to my eye,
But I’ll always be wearing smiles.
