Darkness be my Friend

Darkness be my friend,
For you're the only one I trust,
You've always been there to hold me up,
And be my romantic rebound lust,

Darkness be my friend,
For all I find are enemies,
Will you turn my black roses red?
And hear my lasting plea?

Darkness be my friend,
Painted on my mourning lips,
Catch my every silent tear,
Redirect my hearts eclipse,

Darkness by my friend,
For the hand of a ghost I am holding,
Longing to find a love long lost,
His name I'll forever be calling,

Darkness be my friend,
And I'll be the ghost of you,
Take my sorrow and my sadness,
Long before I bid my adieu.

    I really missed reading your poems. I have also missed you :) You have done a wonderful job with this. I really relate to so much of the piece.

    This was my favorite stanza.
    You have penned a beautiful poem here!

    I once was lost in darkness too until an angel came my way...it never returned to me again!
