No Longer Question Why

by BreatheNoMore   Jan 27, 2005

Reaching out
To touch yet another unfamiliar
Passing bye the gravestones
Buried beneath-words cracked and dry
My emaciated heart
Just accepts-no longer questions why

And I wonder what it feels like to be dead
And if this is what it is
Talk about forever
A beauty I will never see
As each day fades darker
Heaven and hell are all the same to me

Just stare into me
Forever misery
Melancholy smiles of disdain
An unfed necessity
A constant longing
To be obscured contained by merciful rain

But as long as I keep wishing
I will move along
Passing unfriendly faces with fake smiles encased
Through the obliterated field
Where rests commemorative of my antecedent days

What is this I see?
In this strangers eyes
Unforgiving memories
That no longer question why
