One Tear Too Late

by DMG   Feb 3, 2005

One word spoken
One soft whisper
And nothing was heard

One faint frown
One pale face
And nothing was seen

One lost hope
One lost soul
And no one wept

One last second
One last breath
And one tear fell

One tear too late
One care too late
One death too late

A life is gone
An angel born
A devil born

He who died
Borne an angel

He who cried
Borne a devil

Don’t wait until chance has passed
Don’t wait until late is relevant

Give hope to the hopeless
Give love to the loveless

One word spoken to he who speaks
One soft whisper to he who whispers
Will save he who weeps
From that one eternal sleep

**This is very different from anything I've ever written, but analytically rhyme gives hope to a poem, which is why rhyme is unseen in this poem until the last stanza. I hope everyone still likes this piece. Thanks for reading.**

that was awesome! a poem doesn't have to have rhyme to be great unlike everyone thinks. Most of my stuff rhymes but thats just my way of writing and everyone has their own way. great poems; not just this one!(i've read most of your poems) LoVeS & PeAcEz
