Open up your eyes

Open up your eyes
don't you see it?
Your so fooled by his lies
and you don't want to believe it.

He doesn't see you like you need to be seen. You take his shit because you think "he's the only guy for me." He can say anything and somehow he's always right.
He can convince you to take the blame with every fight.

Open up your eyes,
look around...
he's got you falling for him,
and you'll fall hard into the ground.

He can get you to stay,
"just one more night."
He scares you so much,
yet takes away all fright.
He could hurt you so bad,
but you'll make up an excuse
anything to cover up
for the pain and abuse.

Open up your eyes,
please... why can't you see?
Everything he has to give
causes pain and misery.
Open up your eyes,
don't let him have his way.
He's used you over and over again
it's time you see
this has to end.

    just my thoughts. this poem is about so many relationships girls have with guys. and it is so sad that they have to go through it. hopefully one of them will read it and realize they need to get out.

    Very strong lines with rhetorical questions that really engaged me to think aloud. Great art of work, well penned and well written.

    Great poem it flowed really well, the rhyming was excellent, i think this was my favorite part

    and i dont know why people put up with crap like that, the whole world sees it but to the person involved theyre blind, for some reason they see something good in what everyone sees as so bad
