Bound

by Kaitlin Kristina   Feb 6, 2005

I can’t escape,
What’s all around,
You’re in every stare,
In every sound,
You’re in every dream,
That I have at night,
And in every moment,
That alone, I fight.

You’re in every shadow,
That dances on the wall,
Tossed by flame,
Big or small,
In every reflection,
Of my lonely face,
I see your kiss on my lips,
And I remember its taste.

You’re every whisper,
That wafts slowly past,
I pick up your voice,
And wont let it pass.
You’re my every tear,
That my pillow now eats,
That you used to share with me,
And you gently would speak,

Of our endless love,
And I would lay in your hug,
And the chills up my spine,
As I remember those times,
Won’t go away,
And to my dismay,
You’re in every memory,
That I have before today.

I can’t escape,
What’s all around,
For you’re my everything,
And to you I am bound.

This poem is written very well,
    with strong emotion. The rhyme
and rhythm flows great. I like these lines,
    “You’re in every memory,
    that I have before today.”
Very sad write on lost love, well done.
