Black ribbon, Red ribbon.

She sits staring out of the window,
At the snow falling down outside.
Shes been in a state of shock since yesterday,
When she found out her boyfriend has died.

Around her wrist is tied a black satin ribbon,
A symbol of mourning and despair.
He was the only person that ever loved her,
None of her family care.

Oh why did it have to happen?
Why did the car have to crash right there?
Right where her sweet-heart was standing,
Breathing in the cool night air.

And why couldn't the hospital have saved him?
Did they not even try?
If they did It wasn't hard enough,
Otherwise they wouldn't have let him die.

She remains at the window, just gazing,
A vacant expression on her face.
She just cant accept that this has happened,
In the marathon of life, hes lost his race.

She feels hollow inside, empty and lost,
She cant believe it is true.
Without her dearest lover,
How will she see thing through?

Suddenly she comes to her senses,
She knows that if she is to be happy again.
She has to join him up in heaven,
And that will end her pain.

She unties the black ribbon and hangs herself from it.
The black around her neck, is replaced with red.
A few minutes more and shes where she wants to be,
Cause to be there she has to be dead.

(Not about me)
