A summer's day

by Mild insomnia   Feb 11, 2005

The air’s dry; the ground crunches beneath me,
The West Side of a suburban city,
I have been walking,
For an hour or three,
Now I got here,
I’m lost completely.

I was hoping to find you,
And maybe you could help me,
Now I dunno what to do,
You make me feel so childish,
Thought you might be able to,
Rip my heart right from me,
It might stop my soul feeling blue,
Cos I really can’t stand this.

I keep falling down in the burning sun,
I always thought you’d be the one,
I have come undone,
Now all my colors run,
Blend into one,
I’ve become so numb.

Couldn’t you end my pain?
I’ve run so damn far to fail now,
Please don’t start me up again,
I want you to break me down,
Let this be the final game,
Can’t we end it somehow?
Mix my name with words of hate,
And I’ll drink the poisoned vows.
