I'm Sorry

by Jacob Davis   Feb 15, 2005

I’m sorry for all the things I’ve said,
I’m sorry for all the things I’ve done,
I’m sorry for staining the grass,
From beneath the branch which my corpse is hung.

I’m sorry for being so selfish,
I’m sorry for leaving you behind,
I’m sorry it had to be this way,
Ending it all with no hints or subtle signs.

I’m sorry for not giving anyone the chance to change my mind,
I’m sorry for not letting you talk to me,
I’m sorry for being such a burden,
This was just the only solution I could even see.

I’m sorry I’m gone,
I’m sorry for not knowing why,
I’m sorry I couldn’t had parted my lips in person,
To tell you face to face... “Goodbye.”
