Shout at me, scream at me
Call me those names
Tell me I’m weird
That I’m lost and insane

I promise I will sit
I won’t say a thing
And as you are shouting
I’ll hum and I’ll sing

I’ll sing my sweet melody
I’ll sing it out loud
For nobody can hear me
Under my shroud

Nobody can hear me

You’ll sit there alone
The TV sits too
Your screen is so blank
There’s no getting through

I’ll sit and I’ll cry
Disheartened by you
I’m alone in this pain
Isolated from you

The shadows grow dark
They show on my face
Sliding across
A cold empty space

I’ll hug my bare knees
I’ll rock to and fro
For nobody can see me
So no one will know

- I know its not one of my best, but somehow it makes sense to me...a bad night xx

    Its excellent! Lol, I do that sometimes, hug my knees and rock to and fro even when I'm not sad, lol. Same for you two! If you need to talk, I'm here!! This poem was fantastic! It may not be one of your best, but it doesn't change the fact that you write fabulous poems!!
