Don't Come Running

by My Obsεssion   Feb 22, 2005

The error of your ways
You’ll all soon come to see
But when you do, I’ll tell you now
Don’t come running back to me

You feast on my generosity
And suck it right down dry
I’m not able to take this much longer
I can’t go on living this lie

You’ve pushed me to the brink
Pushed my patience over the edge and under
You’ve built up this silent storm of rage inside
And are about to hear its thunder

I try to avoid you as much as possible
Sever all our friendship’s ties
But when you need something you always come running
Even after all of my tries

You can dress a pig up and teach it to talk
But it’ll still be an ungodly sight
Stop trying to be someone you’re not
Because it just isn’t even right

I see who you’re hanging out with now
Hear who you’re calling your “friends”
But that is only the beginning of your deceptions
And you totally have no clue how far it transcends

Do you really think they truly care
About you, about what you say
I can tell by the look in their eye, their tone
That they’re just waiting for you to go away

Now you’ve lost your one true friend
That one true friend was me
More loyal than you’ve ever been
A better friend than you’ll ever be

I don’t know whether to let you go on living your lie
All I know is that from you I’m going to keep shunning
There are just some things you need to figure out on your own
But when you do, you better not come running

**yeah needs work but still...**
