Lost Remnant

Countless times I break my vows
Always trying to regain my sense of self
Always failing to resume control
My ability to do so vanishing rapidly

I will someday fade away
No one will ever remember me
My time upon earth a brief spark
A flash of light that will soon vanish

I am alone with my unbroken dreams
The only thing left that is still pure
Soon they will also fall undone
Another wound upon my tortured soul

The enormity of my feeble feelings
Will shatter as my dead promises
My dreams will go unfinished
My time is drawing to its swift closure

Passage of my brief time would not be noted
Memories of me will fade to dust
No one is willing to remember
To remember this lost soul
