Dissapointment

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Feb 23, 2005

As soon as I'm done talking,
I notice something I never have before...
My father's face has just aged,
Of twenty years at least...
When I'm done telling him the bad news,
He starts pacing,
He's turning
Turning,
Turning
My head starts spinning,
So I sit down
And can do nothing,
But stare at his frown...
His eyes show the dissapointment
Words cannot express...
I try to make myself small,
I want to be absorbed by the sofa,
But I know that didn't work at all
Because my dad keeps staring
Not even trying to hide his disgust.
He just stares at me
And says nothing,
Just stares...
And then, he starts to cry.
He tells me he thought i was smart,
That I knew better.
He told me he thought i had my life
under control,
But now, he knows he was wrong.
He never would've thought that his baby
...would soon give birth to another one....

You done a great job of describing these emotions, especially since you haven't been in this situation yourself, well done, keep it up xxx
