Happier In Death

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 25, 2005

I shall die, I shall fade
By the teeth of this blade
I shall slowly disappear
Into a peace so blissfully clear

And some shall mourn
Grieve upon the day I was born
But I wish they would smile
I said I’d only be here a little while

In my life I cried in tortured defeat
The agony seemingly on repeat
I could not be rid of the pain
I did not want to breathe again

Now here in this moment I slip away …
A fragile notion that I soon will be OK
By this blade, gently taking my last breath
Watch and see that I’m happier in death.

another good one...i read your profile and kudos to you on knowing "mad world"! the first time i heard that song i was like "what the hell is this?" until i listened to the lyrics...its so cool to find someone else who knows that song. not many people do. so u must know the movie "Donnie Darco" then, right? Anyway...another good poem keep it up!
