Anyone?

by Mild insomnia   Feb 25, 2005

I’m the landslide that rests above your hometown,
Just waiting for a reason to let go,
Each lie you tell: a tear in the sky falls down,
And it’s raining here, yet so slow.

So now you have set me up for self-destruction,
Don’t forget to fix the time and the day,
The clock shows your deceit and corruption,
When the ticking finally stops you’ll be miles away.

There’s no time for you to apologise,
No time for me to say goodbye,
Every second for you is a life…
For me, it’s all the same to you,
You’re all I’d try to hold to,
You’re the one thing I can’t see through.

I’m the stray cat that haunts the nearby hilltops,
Watching every move that you make,
You’ve let me down again but at what cost?
I’m nearing the point where I’m surely gonna break.

You’re looking for the path to move on,
Drop everything that you have begun,
To twist your back and then just run….
Leave a life undone…
Turned me against everyone you knew,
Cos I’d associate them with you,
You don’t know what you’ve put me through…
Two birds with one stone,
You left me on my own,
And I’ll clear up the mess that was your home.

You broke every fragile heart,
Wormed your way into each soul and then start,
To break it down; it falls apart…
And you ripped up paper vows,
Threw everyone out,
Of your life, and now you’re without….
Anyone.
