Listen to yourself

by Ash LEIGH   Feb 27, 2005

Wishes, lies and secrets
all bottled into one flame,
feeling someone's emotional grief,
and getting tossed all the blame.

To search for a longing freedom
to far from ones eyes,
to know the person you've become
was a basket full of lies.

to watch your wishes fade away,
and risks that were not taken,
to know that your friends were the true ones,
and you were the one forsaken.

for lovers never die alone,
and dreamers never whisper grief,
you are someone somebody
despite your own belief.
