Conversation with the Darkness

by Ð맆îñ¥   Feb 27, 2005

Have you ever had one sitting on your bed?
Knowing he wants to harm you
And yet by talking you keep him at bay
Keep him interested with the words that you say

Well last night one visited me
He sat on my bed and listened to me
And last night one talked about
All the troubles I thought about

I told him of the dreams that I have
I asked him the meanings of which he laughed
A dream with us is no longer a dream
A dream with us will make you scream

He told me their customs; he told me their rules
Now I knew what fate I held
For they’d never let me know and let me live
Or for my knowledge would he forgive?

We talked so much and talk enticing
The vampire clan sounded so inviting
Wishing the darkness will visit again
Laugh away my sorrows and help me through my pain

This morning as the daylight rose
I remembered all that he said
Even though I had drifted asleep
No bites, no marks, not dead

How odd a vampire he must be
To leave me here now
Cannot imagine a scarier place
When I’m dreaming of that pale white face

** Not really a horror kinda poem but well there you go**
