Imperfection

by Ð맆îñ¥   Feb 28, 2005

Pain keeps me hostage
Pain keeps me hidden
Until in the end I will be truth-ridden

The brightest light gives the darkest shadow
That shadow is me
Stranded for eternity

I’m the rubber that smudges
The pen that leaks
And the chair that squeaks

So full of imperfections
Strikes run though my skin
Hard as marble and shattered within

From your eyes I may seem perfect
Careless, joyful, but no
I will cast you with all my woe

I am broken, straining all the time
Wishing for a miracle cure
But no help is given, no love is given
To a heart that’s so impure
